Graduation cake
This cake was made for two lovely young ladies who graduated high school last week. The cake was vanilla, filled with vanilla pastry cream and fresh strawberries.
Graduation cupcakes
Cupcakes were chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream topping and then I placed a graduation scroll made out of gumpaste with a tiny red ribbon holding it in place.
Graduation cap cupcakes
The cupcakes were red velvet cake topped with cream cheese icing then I placed a mini graduation hat made out of gumpaste and royal icing tassle. This was for Yasmine and Daicys' graduation party.
Firefighter cake
The flames up the side of the cake were made out of royal icing using 3 bright vibrant colours red, orange and yellow, the effect against the chocolate fondant made it more realistic looking. The hose, fire hydrant and the ladders were all made out of gumpaste . The fire fighters helmet on the top was made from gumpaste and allowed to dry really firm in order to hold it's shape.I then just applied the details for the helmet and placed in on a faux tier to elevate it .
I was happy with the overall look of the cake.
